August - Misc & Our Mountain

August was truly birthday month, though in the midst of it we were so busy I didn't realize it. We had so many fun adventures.

We did the caves with Mom and M&D and all the cousins. Every single kid did great!
Cynthia LOVED the caves and she was such a help with the boys so I'm glad she could come

Tru's tongue was not really looking that much better after a little but it is good now I think. Just a little scar (which I hope is a scar?)

More joyous cousin time

Tru had to go to the cardiologist and he was a freakin champ while they did the EKG (after the echocardiogram, which apparently are two different things). Anyway, the sonographer said he had never seen such a subdued 3-year-old who wasn't on drugs (to which I secretly replied that Curious George is as good as any sedative for that 3-year-old). And, in the end, it was just a murmur. Phew!

Some good catfishin!

Some good river playing!

Some good rock climbing!

Some good hammocking!

Some good hiking (at Donut Falls, it was great!)

Some good drag racing? Billy's sprinkler guy took him and the other main contractors to the Rocky Mountain Raceway and they got to race super fast cars...haha I guess that would be kinda cool if you knew you wouldn't die?

Some good Burton learning to walk (Oh, so early! 16 months, wow!)

Some scary huge spiders

Some good neighborhood time

Some...weirdo was in mom's yard haha

More river playing while Dad climbed...

..above Burton's head haha

Some spectatoring at my Sunday School kids' XC meet, SO FUN

Then for a date night Billy and I decided to go climb our mountain, which we have done separately but never together. It was so fun and ended up being kind of scary cus we had to go down in the pitch black darkness but it was beautiful and fun.

So so so so so so so soooo steep

Good August fun! Good birthday month!
