Ruth Lake Backpacking Trip

Oh, I have missed missed missed the Unitas since we didn't get to go at all last year! So we finally squeezed in a good trip this year, a little 1 mile backpack to Ruth Lake. The boys rocked it and we had such fun.

The hike in was just the right amount of easy and hard for Truman

"Jus takin a break"

Oh, I love the Uintas so much

The tent we brought was the one we bought in NZ and it has two doors so the boys just had so much fun running circles around it. They were out like logs and that night there was a fantastic and heart-stopping thunder/lightning storm. They slept right through it, but it was really terrific in the most literal sense of the word. I was horrified and enthralled and amazed and scared and just all. It was crazy and loud and scary and cool.

Morning time!
It was so cold and Truman was pretty miserable for awhile until we did some exploring

We came upon this cool rock field with all these amazing rock towers. That ultimately is what cheered Truman up.

Good backpacking for the boys! Ruth Lake was definitely a good one. Next time we go we will bring our climbing gear because there was a good wall nearby but this time was just about the boys so we had fun.
